Abstract

This Environmental Test Procedure outlines the methods of evaluating the capability of Armament and Individual Weapons to function effectively under all known conditions in the desert which might have significant effects on the performance characteristics of these weapons. The methods are described in general terms, for preparing, conducting, recording, and reporting desert environmental testing of armament and individual weapons: individual small arms (not crew-served); light and medium weight crew-served weapons; towed weapons, and self-propelled weapons.
