Transmission of DC-Voltage Energy from Magnetohydrodynamic Generators into an Electric Power Network

Abstract

The article discusses the possibilities of changing electrical DC-energy obtained in MHD (magnetohydrodynamic) generators with Hall, Montardy and Faraday connection systems into tri-phase AC energy. It presents diagrams of inverters built from thyristors and their control and safety principles. It gives the results of calculating basic electrical parameters of inverters working with MHD generators adopted.
