Second-Periphery Apparatus in the Robotron-300 Electronic Data Processing Equipment (Part IV),
Abstract
Described are three automatic desk calculators for bookkeeping: two small models ASCOTA 071 100 and 117 Ls, one large model ASCOTA 170 Ls. The general construction, layout, and operation are shown. The 071 100 model includes, besides the main unit, as auxiliary keyboard with tape puncher, a programming or a control unit, and an entries checking unit. The other models incorporate special features such as a parity control, a capacity control, and a synchronization control. In addition, the large model has an electrical print out, an automatic prompt error corrector, and an automatic dater; coupled with an electronic multiplicator it can handle figures up to 20 significant digits.
