Engineering Evaluation of the Vanguard Strike Film Viewer.

Abstract

The Vanguard Strike Film Viewer is a combination rear projection and wall projection unit which was tested to determine its specific capabilities with respect to the utilization of Bimat positive transparency roll film obtained from the KB-18 strike camera. Nineteen units were tested for AWAR resolution of both viewing modes, rear projection screen brightness, magnification, field of view, film transport speeds and projection gate temperature. The results indicate that these viewers are suitable for field use. (Author)
