A Review of Current Data Regarding the Solderability of Coatings for Printed Wiring Boards.
Abstract
The report summarizes available data regarding coatings applied to copper conductors to maintain solderability for extended periods of time. The fundamental mechanisms of soldering are reviewed and available test data regarding the solderability of coatings are summarized. A list of referenced reports reviewed in the course of this study is included. (Author)
