Large Scale Integrated Circuit Arrays.

Abstract

Fifty Large Scale Integrated, Discretionary Routed Arrays were fabricated for the research vehicle. These arrays contained 6,463 gates and 854 flip-flops for a total of 9,879 equivalent gates. The arrays included 34 arrays for the General Purpose Computer and 16 arrays for the Phase Shift Computer. The average circuit complexity for the G.P. computer was 207 equivalent gates per array. Many problems were encountered. These problems included multilevel mask linearity, multilevel process yield, routing software, system test generation software, and the total operating systems hardware of circuit test, systems test and the cathode ray tube mask generator.
