Infrared Miniaturized Intrusion Detector (IMID)-ACL 20/69I.

Abstract

The infrared Miniaturized Intrusion Detector (IMID) was evaluated as one means of detecting hostile movement in RVN from 8 November to 28 February 1970. It was determined that the IMID was suitable for use by US Army units in RVN. However, it was recommended that Headquarters, United States Army, Vietnam, verify the requirement for the IMID and determine the number needed in RVN before IMID shortcomings are corrected.
