Loss-Factor Meters Type 1033 and 1034 and their Applicability,

Abstract

The loss-factor meters type 1033 and 1034 developed by the VEB Funkwerk Erfurt for operation in the 100 kHz to 100 MHz frequency range have been discussed. Exposition of the measurement principle, technical specifications, test limits, and affecting factors provide an understanding of the characteristics and applicational capabilities of the meters. Basic to the description of the applicational scope of this equipment is the realization that these instruments can be employed both in the electronics industry for component testing (resistances, capacitors, and coils, as well as oscillating circuitry and cables) and also in the chemical industry for the measurement of material constants.
