An ALGOL Translating Program for the Minsk-2 Computer,

Abstract

The translation program developed for the MINSK-2 digital computer serves two purposes: (1) it enables the programming of the MINSK-2 computer by a more advanced language than the autocode, and (2) it permits experiences to be gained in the preparation of syntactically controlled translation programs and in the utilization of the newly developed signal-sequence recognition technique. The translation program, a two-step operation, and the signal-sequence recognition method were described.
