The Recognition of Complementary Weapon Systems.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to present a mathematical model suitable for aiding in the decision making associated with weapon system selection. An important but neglected consideration in such decision making is whether one system is adequate or whether more than one system is necessary. The question is whether the members of a family of weapon systems complement one another sufficiently to justify the additional expenditure that multiple systems imply. (Author)
