Cross Product Terminal Guidance Studies for Short Range Missile Systems, 10 to 100 Nautical Miles.
Abstract
The basis for this study is the need to increase the accuracy of present Army missile systems in the 10- to 100-nautical mile range. The guidance scheme must operate during the entire flight or must provide boost control to velocity cutoff and terminal steering. This study should yield the desired results for the range span considered, and is primarily concerned with guidance techniques - principally the terminal phase guidance for the purpose of eliminating range variations.
