MALLARD Communications Traffic Requirements (US) (TD-32). (Annex C). Nodal Affiliations.

Abstract

The data represents the nodal affiliation analysis of the deployments under consideration: The Two Corps Field Army with Air Force interface, the Air Force Tactical Support Configuration, the Independent Corps, and the Marine Expeditionary Force. Each deployment is considered on the basis of nodal affiliations listed by unit and nodal affiliation by nodes listed sequentially. The Two Corps Field Army deployment considers a command plus area type communication system; the Independent Corps provides for an augmented command system. If two or more links are associated with a node it is called a trunk or switching node; if only one link is involved, this document treats it as an access node. Diagrammatic information of deployments and multi-node arrangements are provided in the final report (basic document). To assist in establishing a baseline for study, the data summation provides a broad index of the deployment size and nodal distribution.
