Actual State and Perspectives of the Technology of Solid State Semiconductor Circuits and the Problem of Selecting the Optimum Technology for a Domestic Program,

Abstract

The first part of the paper describes tremendous progress in the production of semiconductor integrated circuits, particularly in the United States and Japan. Next, the standardization of technology and progress in designing of integrated circuits is described. Fourth part is devoted to obstacles encountered in development of the large scale integration. In conclusion, the situation in this century in the field of semiconductor integrated circuits is briefly described. (Author)
