An Investigation of Techniques of Oculometer Target Position Measurement in Real-Time Displays.

Abstract

Measurement of eye pointing direction with an oculometer eye direction monitor can be used to determine target position in reconnaissance imagery. The oculometer technique is rapid by virtue of the speed of the human eye pointing mechanism, and practical because it requires no attachment to or constraint of the subject. An experimental program was performed which demonstrated that the technique can be used to accurately and rapidly measure target position on a real-time display. (Author)
