An Annotated Bibliography of the Thermal Properties of Primary and Secondary Cells.
Abstract
The literature concerning the thermal properties of primary and secondary cells and batteries is listed under six main subject headings. These six headings are: (1) thermal conductivity and resistance data, and thermal resistance-capacitance models; (2) specific heat and heat capacity data; (3) enthalpy, entropy and temperature coefficient of emf data; (4) heat generation measurement and prediction; (5) thermal design of cells and batteries; and (6) environmental temperature effects on cell operation and life. Where possible, the appropriate information in each document is given and the quantitative data are summarized in tabular form at the end of the report and discussed. Apparent voids and inadequacies in the reported data are also given. (Author)
