Tropic Service Test of Overhead Cover, Foxhole.

Abstract

A Tropic Service test of 20 Overhead Foxhole Covers was made to determine their suitability for employment and use in a humid tropic environment. Test participants were representative of those individuals who would normally use the overhead cover with foxholes. Tests were conducted to determine item's physical characteristics, adequacy of instruction, storage, and operational characteristics. The test consisted of operational deployment for periods of 30 days, transportability and use by infantrymen during field training exercises, and storage. The test indicated that the cover is suitable for field use.
