New Communication Items from the German Democratic Republic.

Abstract

(1) Z14-M4 Broadband Solid-State Sweep Generator - With this new all-solid-state sweep generator one can dial F1 and F2 from 1.0 to 12.4 GHz or anywhere in between, then depress F1 and F2 buttons, and sweep the frequency with no interruption for changing plug-ins, cranking, or dial resetting. In effect, when using this modern, advanced concept instrument, the usual 'octave' limitation does not obtain. One can select any combination of F1, M1, M2, F2 for any present bandwidth by simply dialing a frequency and pushing a couple of buttons, in this way obtaining a swept measurement. Scheduled for mid-1970 commercial availability. (2) Complete line of Schottky-Barrier Junction Diodes - Model number are in the NB series. These components are designed to serve as mechanical and electrical replacements for standard point-contact diodes. They feature improvements in temperature and low 1/f noise characteristics, along with the inherent reliability and reproducibility of Schottky-barrier junction diodes. Maximum noise figures (dB) in this series range from 5.5 to 7.0. To be available in mid-1970. (3) Radeberg Radio Factory 1-to -10 GHz Broadband Components. (4) Radeberg Impedance Comparator System, Type K-1000 - The combination of an impedance comparator and analog limit comparator give an ideal comparison system for rapid sorting. (5) Kopenick Isofilter - The VEB Kopenick Radio Association has produced a highly selective isofilter for L-band operation. (Author)
