Neutron Beam Diffusion in a Slab.

Abstract

The distribution of monoenergetic neutrons in a uniform, nonmultiplying slab is treated in this report. The source is a 'pencil-thin' beam of neutrons normally incident upon the slab. Diffusion theory and the method of eigenfunctions are used to solve the problem in the general case. Data, based on this solution, are generated for a specific set of constants. (Author)
