Microwave Acoustic and Bulk Device Technique Studies.

Abstract

The objectives of the contract are to advance new theory and techniques of microwave acoustic, magnetoelastic and bulk semiconductor devices for application to radar, communications, and instrumentation systems. This investigation presently includes the following projects: Thin films for bulk and surface waves; Acoustic parametric amplification; Time-variant microwave signal processing in distributed systems; Guided acoustic waves; Magnetically dependent sound wave interactions in semiconductors; and, Bulk acoustic wave amplifiers.
