EMC Data Collection Techniques Test Method RS.

Abstract

The bases for the establishment of radiated susceptibility limits and associated test methods are examined in detail. It is proposed that a general limit for magnetic field susceptibility be established which is appreciably higher than the present limit over much of the frequency range below 30 kHz. At frequencies below 1 GHz, the electric field limit should be increased to from 3 to 10 V/m as soon as the state of the art permits, and at frequencies above 100 MHz an immediate increase to 100 V/m is recommended. New test procedures are recommended for evaluating cable susceptibility, and the transmission line technique should be further developed to extend its range. (Author)
