Product Improvement Test of 'Partible' Innerspring Mattress.

Abstract

A Product Improvement Test of 'Partible' Innerspring Mattresses was conducted from 20 May 1969 through 8 May 1970 to compare the experimental mattress with the standard mattress, bed, innerspring, Type II, size 4, under normal barracks use for a period of 1 year with respect to comfort, durability, and user preference. It was concluded that: the experimental mattress is equal to the standard mattress with respect to comfort, user preference, and durability; users significantly prefer the quilted top surface of the experimental mattress to the tufted-button top surface of the standard mattress.
