Akaline Polyamide and Its Use in Sliding Bearings,

Abstract

The properties of alkaline polyamide plain bearings were studied in a series of experiments covering several types and modifications of the material. The research established the relation between the wall thickness, clearance, sort of lubricant and intensity of lubrication on one hand and service life and load carrying capacity on the other hand. Diagrams indicate the influence of load, velocity and coefficient of friction on the service life of bearings. (Author)
