Liquid Fluorine Sampler Development Program.

Abstract

A program was undertaken to develop, evaluate, and deliver a production liquid fluorine (LF2) sampler as a part of a coordinated effort to develop the component technology and ground support equipment required to meet potential requirements for high-energy propulsion systems. The program met all of its technical objectives, which include (1) demonstration of the capability to take liquid fluorine samples, (2) separate particulate from the fluorine sample, using a filter integral with the liquid fluorine sample chamber, and (3) provide both volatile and nonvolatile particulate samples.
