Research on the Electrochemical Oxidation of Hexane and Its Isomers.

Abstract

The effect of Ni(2+), Al(3+), and Na(+) on the oxidation rate of C3H8 at a partially submerged Pt fuel cell electrode in 80% H3PO4 at 130C was studied as a function of electrode potential and additive concentration. All three additives produce significant enhancement of the C3H8 oxidation rate. (Author)
