Tidal Corrections Program.

Abstract

Predicted tidal corrections are used primarily in reducing soundings (entered on the work sheet) to an approximate common tidal plane, prior to obtaining observed tidal corrections (used on the final sheet). In the event tidal observations are not feasible, as with surveys of limited extent and where time does not permit, it becomes necessary to use predicted corrections for the reductions of soundings to be entered on the final sheet. This program will compute tide corrections from high and low water predictions. It has been written to run on the CDC 3100 Computer. (Author)
