Solid State Physics at Five Italian Universities,

Abstract

This report describes some of the solid state research being done at the following Italian institutes; University of Bologna (Prof. P. Gondi), University of Milan (Prof. G.F. Nardelli), University of Palermo (Prof. M.U. Palma), University of Parma (Prof. R. Fieschi), and University of Rome (Prof. G. Chiarotti). All of these groups have much interest in lattice defect phenomena or ionic crystals, although other problems are also being attacked. (Author)
