Static Subscriber Subsystem (Wire Distribution) Loop Multiplexer/Combiner.
Abstract
Work on the project was directed towards the construction of breadboard circuits for frame search, group decombining, channel demultiplexing and certain high and low pass filters for the Diphase Modem. Problems were encountered and overcome in the frame search work; while the method of confirming continuation of synchronism has been revised. Circuit designs for the various portions of the Power Supply have been completed and are discussed in detail, with arguments for or against various possible approaches to the problems encountered. Reference is made to the relevant section of the Design Plan and Visualization Data which is included as Section 4 of this report. In most areas of the Power Supply the designs are complete and parts are on order. The design criteria for protection of the equipment against lightning surges have been studied and results to date are discussed.
