Time Resolved Spectroscopy of ZnSe.

Abstract

A study was made of the emission spectra obtained from plate-like ZnSe crystals at 4.2K. Crystals containing one or another or both series of broad bands were observed and a crystal containing two broad band series was examined by time-resolved techniques. Emission spectra were recorded as a function of time after excitation by a 0.4 joule flash from an FX-6A Xenon flashlamp and might be explained by the existence of two acceptor levels and two closely-spaced donors within the crystal. No attempt was made to identify the centers. (Author)
