Computerized Parametric Method for Aircraft Preliminary Design Studies.

Abstract

A series of methods has been programmed which allow significant time savings in aircraft preliminary design studies. Several interesting features of these methods include: Frequent application of state of the art techniques; A method of calculation for wing fuel; Inclusion of several geometry techniques which greatly reduce the necessity for drafting work; A programmed iterative technique to choose the optimum high lift system; and Application of the modular (subroutine) concept of programming.
