A Parametric Study of Particulate Damping Based on the Model of Temkin and Dobbins.

Abstract

A parametric study of particulate damping was made making use of the particulate damping theory of Temkin and Dobbins. Plots of dimensionless temporal damping (and sonic velocity ratio) versus dimensionless frequency were computed. In each of the dimensionless plots one dimensionless paramaters was varied about a mean value. (Author)
