Solid Gas Hydrates,

Abstract

It is shown that although the ideal analysis for gas hydrates is M.6H2O, for structural reasons larger molecules have higher water contents, or more correctly, their content in the hydrate former is lower. The author turned to gas hydrates following his determination of the structure of borides of the formula MeB6. He was able to confirm the assumption that there actually is a relationship between the structures, although the determination of the structure of the gas hydrates is not yet complete. It was possible to present some fundamental characteristics of the structure and these are presented very briefly.
