Arctic Service Test of Low Capacity Army Area Communications (AACOMS) Assemblages, AN/TCC-65, AN/TRC-145, AN/TRC-113 and AN/MRC-127 under Arctic Winter Conditions.

Abstract

An Arctic Service test was conducted on Low Capacity Army Area Communications (AACOMS) Assemblages AN/TCC-65, AN/TRC-145, AN/TRC-113 and AN/MRC-127, by the U. S. Army Arctic Test Center at Fort Greely, Alaska, from 1 September 1969 to 30 January 1970. The test was conducted to determine to what degree each of the subject assemblages and their associated tools and test equipment perform their mission and to determine the operational capability of each assemblage with emphasis on safety, operational reliability, human factors, maintenance/training evaluations and reaction time. The maintenance evaluation could not be accomplished because the maintenance package was incomplete.
