A Facility for the Measurement of Terrain Illuminators.

Abstract

A facility has been established to measure the spectral, spatial, and temporal output characteristics of natural and artificial terrain illumination sources over the spectral region from 0.20 to 1.20 microns. The facility and the components are described in detail, including the variety of radiation detectors and support and auxiliary equipment used. A computer program is described which performs the analysis of the data from a semi-automated measurement configuration. Two examples are shown for the use of the facility for terrain illuminator measurements. (Author)
