SYSTRAN Machine Translation System.

Abstract

The report describes a 12 month effort consisting of optimization of the SYSTRAN System for Russian-English machine translation. A detailed account of results is given in the main body of the report. The appendices contain flow-charts and tables illustrating the structure of the processes involved in dealing with morphological and syntactic problems. The intent of the descriptive representation is to highlight the effectiveness of the System and emphasize its open-endedness and modularity. (Author)
