Surface Wave Transmission Line for a Balloon-Elevated Antenna System.
Abstract
The report describes a 1000 ft, VHF surface wave antenna system which is proposed as a replacement for the present balloon elevated antenna system used in Project Code 972 which has encountered many operational difficulties. The theoretical performance parameters of the surface wave system are presented and the results are supported by test data. (Author)
