Development of Engineering Data for Advanced Composite Materials. Volume III. Anisotropic Plate Characterization Bending, Dynamics, Stability

Abstract

Volume 3 covers the anisotropic plate evaluation--bending, dynamics, and stability--of the Narmco 5505 boron-epoxy material system. The primary objective was to determine the small deflection and post- buckling behaviors of boron-epoxy flat plates subject ot transverse, uniaxial, biaxial, and diagonal tension loadings configurations. These studies were conducted to verify an existing anisotropic plate analysis. A secondary objective was to observe the mode of failure of laminated anisotropic flat plates under uniaxial compression and shear.
