Effect on the Curie Temperature of Inclusion of Correlation for the Smallest Three-Spin Cluster in the S=1/2, fcc, Heisenberg Ferromagnet,

Abstract

An alternative form of the 'self-consistent cluster-variation' theory is presented. The effect of including the smallest three-spin cluster is discussed with regard to the Curie temperature for the spin-1/2 fcc ferromagnetic insulator in the Heisenberg model. It is found that for range of exchange to first neighbors no long range ordering temperature exists in this approximation. (Author)
