Microwave High Dielectric Constant Materials.

Abstract

The major effort during this reporting period has been to develop temperature-compensated, two-phase dielectrics in the Zn2TiO4-TiO2 and the MgTi2O5-TiO2 systems. Two materials, designated ZT-75 and MT-16 were developed which are very nearly compensated with dielectric constants near k = 24. The mechanical, thermal, and physical properties of these materials were measured. The significance and applicability of the various dielectric constant temperature coefficients are briefly discussed. Finally, a complete list of property values is given for the four materials developed in this phase of the program: (1) BaTi4O9, (2) Li2O-1.5TiO2, (3) MT-16, and (4) ZT-75. (Author)
