On the Interpretation of Rayleigh and Brillouin Scattering in Dilute Polymer Solutions.

Abstract

A numerical calculation is made of the fine structure of light scattered from dilute solutions of flexible polymers using a theoretical framework derived by Pecora. Four computer programs using Fortran IV language were written utilizing various modifications of Pecora's equation. It was possible to recast Pecora's equation into a much simpler form which gave results nearly identical to the original expression. (Author)
