Sector Interlacing in HF/CDAA Systems.

Abstract

This special task effort is concerned with the effects of interlacing of the right- and left-hand bank of antennas in a CDAA type radio direction finder. The investigation was carried out in two phases. The first phase consisted of a digital computer simulation study which has been completed and these results were reported earlier. The second phase, which is reported here, was concerned with quantitative experimental studies with the system in the real ionospherically propagated signal environment. Experimental verification of the results of the simulated studies were also expected. (Author)
