Rocket Propellant Handler's Suit.

Abstract

Design, development, fabrication, and testing of rocket propellant handler'ssuit are described. The function of the suit is to provide protection forthe wearer in the event he is exposed to hazardous gases/ iquids used forthe propellant/oxidizer of rocket engines. The suit is fabricated from anexperimental material laminate of FEP TEFLON, BUTYL RUBBER AND PTFE FABRICSUBSTRATE. The descriptions of the suit, its operation, the test requirements,procedures and documentation problems and recommendations are presented.(Author, modified-PL)
