Circular Symmetric Antenna Arrays: A Survey of Current Capabilities.
Abstract
Increasing demands for wide-band surveillance and communication systems have stimulated interest in circular and other symmetric configurations for use in array antennas. The techniques developed for planar arrays can be modified for use with other surfaces. Three general types of symmetrical arrays are presented and typical applications are described. Characteristics of the various types of arrays are compared. (Author)
