Testing and Machining Techniques for Reinforced Plastic Test Specimens.

Abstract

Experimental machining and testing of composite materials has shown that in order to obtain precise and accurate mechanical property values, machining techniques and test specimen designs better than those which had been derived from metallic machining or testing procedures would have to be developed. Machining and testing techniques developed and adopted, for evaluation of fiber reinforced composites are presented. (Author, modified-PL)
