Large-Screen Laser Display Study.
Abstract
A theoretical basis for operation of a multiply degenerate spatial mode wide-bore laser as an image amplifier is presented. Work done to achieve such a device is described and the unique problems peculiar to fabrication of modern optical and high vacuum devices encountered in this effort are carefully detailed as an aid to others contemplating such efforts.
