The volume contains an overview of the logistic picture of the Vietnam War, but in general does not enter into extensive discussions of details since these details are treated in the monographs. It interfaces with, draws on, and provides perspective for the separate monographs; they in turn serve to provide a more detailed level of treatment when the Volume, of necessity, cannot provide the depth of review desired. Topics include: The environment; The logistic posture; Logistic responsibilities and systems; Logistic support in Southeast Asia; and Impact of the Vietnam conflict on readiness in other areas of the world.
