Logistic Support in the Vietnam Era. Monograph 3. Automatic Data Processing Systems

Abstract

The purpose of this monograph is to examine and evaluate selected automated logistic programs of the Services and DSA during the Vietnam era and to determine strengths, weaknesses, and lessons learned. The programs chosen for examination were the major wholesale systems of the Services and DSA. An examination was made of the methods used by each of the Services and DSA in resolving similar problems. They were examined as they existed at the beginning of the Vietnam era and as they developed in order to assess areas of importance and problems relating to the ADP support of logistic systems and operations.
