Abstract

The objectives of the monograph are to examine and evaluate the use of containerization to support U. S. forces during the Vietnam era; to examine trends for the future, to determine the effects of containerization on the distribution system, equipment, facilities, manpower, and responsiveness, and to make appropriate recommendations for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of military logistics through the use of containers to support both peacetime and military contingency operations.
