The Development of a HNS-II/B plus KNO3 Mild Detonating Cord (MDC) for the Gas Generator, BBU-11/B,
Abstract
A mild detonating cord has been developed for the Generator, Gas, BBU-11/B. This cord contains a 75/25 percent mixture (by weight) of HNS-II and B+KNO3, and will replace the HNS Ignition Cord used previously in the Gas Generator. This cord, as part of the generator, has successfully passed all environmental and surveillance tests, and appears to be a satisfactory replacement for the HNS ignition cord used during Phase II of the development program for the gas generator.
