The Shorted Loop for Magnetic Interference Field Measurements.

Abstract

The shorted loop is evaluated as a broad-band magnetic field probe for radio frequency interference measurements. This type probe was developed to produce improved and more versatile instrumentation for the investigation and evaluation of electromagnetic interference problems. Probes in common use today do not have constant response over their frequency ranges and thus require many adjustments and calibrations to make them useful. The shorted loop probes evaluated here have a constant response over their frequency ranges. These probes will be used for measuring and recording broad-band transients and for making narrow-band automated interference measurements over a large frequency range. (Author)
