Combination Antenna Receive-Transmit System (CARTS).
Abstract
A system that allows simultaneous transmission and reception on a common antenna is designed. A simple decoupling network that provides decoupling from a transmitting antenna nearly independent of transmitter-multicoupler off-resonance impedance is designed. Decoupling as a function of frequency is obtained such that the system is atmospheric-noise limited over the entire 2-to-30-MHz band, except from 15 to 20 MHz. The decoupling network is determined to not adversely affect the transmitting-antenna impedance as seen by the transmitter multicoupler. (Author)
